Error description

A WebSphere client on z/OS receives the following BossLog entry
to stderr when disconnecting from the server:

BBOO0049E Local comm call bboclsur(CF_CANCELALL_IO) failed with
RV=-1, RC=xxxx, RSN=yyyy

where RC and RSN indicate a failure condition. Note that in
this case, because we are closing the connection anyway, there
is no action to be taken by the user.

When a WebSphere client disconnects from a WebSphere Application
Server for z/OS, all outstanding I/O is canceled and all
connections are closed. In some cases, for example if a
connection is closed by the server first, an error can be
returned to the client. This error is written to stderr (and to
the WebSphere Application Server trace output) as error message
BBOO0049E Local comm call bboclsur(CF_CANCELALL_IO) failed.
However, all connections will then be correctly closed with no
further action by the user. The resulting error message can be
confusing to the user who is left unsure as to what happened and
what might need to be done.

Problem conclusion

The code was updated to remove the error message. The return
value, return code, and reason code from the CF_CANCELLALL_IO
function can be found, if desired, on the detailed trace event
0x03028061.

APAR PK96703 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.9 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
