Local fix
no workaround
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 using servlet caching and * * legacy portlets. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Exception while calling Dynacache: * * com.ibm.wps.pe.pc.legacy.impl.PortletRe * * questImpl incompatible with * * javax.portlet.PortletRequest. * * * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When dynamic cache (dynacache) is caching, servlet attributes are obtained from the request. Some attributes do not exist in legacy portlets. In version 7.0, dynacache was attempting to obtain an attribute that does not exist in the legacy portlet and an exception was thrown.
Problem conclusion
Dynacache servlet caching was modified to only obtain attributes from requests if they exist. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.11.
