Error description

When running a non-root application servers, launched with root
and configured to use runAsUser as a non-root user, the
application server process is not setting secondary groups as
defined in the user account.

Local fix

The application servers can be started from a login shell of the
desired runAsUser which will correctly retain secondary groups
across app server launch.

Problem summary

*                  for PK98437 or upgrade to 6.1.0.29 or       *
*                  7.0.0.9.                                    *

The secondary group list for the user specified in runAsUser
was not being initialized due to a programming error in the
native user and group initialization code.

Problem conclusion

Fixed initialization path to properly initialize secondary
group list when the runAsUser value is specified and when the
environment variable __JNI_PROCESS_INITGROUPS is set.

If the runAsGroup value is specified, then that value is added
to the secondary group list. If the runAsGroup value specified
is not the runAsUser's primary group, the primary group will
only be included in the secondary group list if the user is
defined as part of the group list in the group database,
typically /etc/group.


The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.29 and 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the
