Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0 * * administrators of JAX-WS applications * * installed on WebSphere Process Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Changes to the JAX-WS engine to allow * * integration with the SCA and * * WebSphere Process Server architecture. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Install the APAR if it is required by the * * WebSphere stack product being installed. * **************************************************************** Ordinarily, the JAX-WS web services engine allows only a single URL pattern to be specified for a web service endpoint, and wildcards are not allowed.
Problem conclusion
The JAX-WS runtime has been updated to allow the use of wildcards in URL patterns associated with SCA applications that have web service bindings. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.9.
