Error description

Customer has filenet application that he's using to access an
EJB application.  After restarting the application he gets the
following naming exception that is caused by a NullPointer
exception from the RAS component. The problem was observed on
WebSphere Application Server v6.1.0.17.

*                      for a fileStream to dump the buffer,    *
*                      a close attempt can cause a             *
*                      NullPointerException                    *

* RECOMMENDATION:  The NullPointerException can be ignored     *
****************************************************************
When an invalid file stream name is passed in to dump the
trace memory buffer may not open successfully.  There is,
however, on exit, an attempt to close it.

Problem conclusion

Before closing the fileStream, we verify that it was
successfully created (not null).

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.41, 6.1.0.31 and 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the
