Error description

Running WebSphere Application Server, a RMI call from a cluster
to an other cluster fails with CORBA::UNKNOWN Minor Code:
c9c2579f.

In the reported problem situation, Th RMI request from the
calling cluster (server) ends up with CORBA::OBJECT_NOT_EXIST
Minor Code: c9c25758 in the target cluster(server),  which
perculates back to the caller cluster(server) with
CORBA::UNKNOWN Minor Code:c9c2579f

The same RMI request works fine within the cluster.

Abstract: Request messages returned to incorrect SR on z/OS.

Detail:  Due to the Controller Coordinator object not being
assigned correctly in the Activity Identity before marshaling
messages which are returned are routed incorrectly.

Messages always need to be routed through the Controller
region when they are returned. The Controller Coordinator
object holds the information that identifies the correct
Servant region for the message to be passed to. Due to the
Controller Coordinator object not being assigned correctly in
the Activity Identity before marshaling, messages which are
returned are routed incorrectly.

Problem conclusion

The Controller Coordinator object is now assigned correctly in
the Activity Identity before marshaling. This allows returned
messages to be routed to the correct Servant region.

APAR PK99345 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.31 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1.
