Error description

WebSphere Process Server uses the WebSphere Application Server
Web Service runtime.  Customers noticed a performance
degradation for some applications when compared to prior
versions of WebSphere Process Server.

APAR PK94646 improved the performance on the server.
This APAR is targetted for performance improvements on the
client.

WebSphere Process Server uses the WebSphere Application Server
Web Service runtime.  Customers noticed a performance
degradation for some applications when compared to prior
versions of WebSphere Process Server.

The performance degradation only affects the JAX-WS
Dispatch<OMElement> API.  This API is used by the WebSphere
Process Server and the Service Component Architecture (SCA)
when those IBM components interact with web services.

APAR PK94646 improved the performance on the server.
This APAR is targetted for performance improvements on the
client.

Problem conclusion

The performance degradation was due to the absence of enabling
code on the Dispatch<OMElement> response path.  This enabling
code is added, and the response performance is improved.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
