Incoming SIP SOAP requests may be routed to the wrong servant
region (SR) by the HTTP router in the control region (CR).
The CR routing logic was not handling the servant affinity
value contained in the SOAP message header. As a result, the
request was routed to a random servant which may not be the
correct servant to honor the SIP session affinity.

Support for SIP SOAP messages in WebSphere Application
Server is contained in CEA Feature Pack version 1.0.0.1.

The problem can be identified by a First Failure Data
Capture (FFDC) and/or trace record indicating a
java.lang.Exception containing the message "CTISession not
found for appSessionId".

Problem conclusion

HTTP routing logic in the CR has been enhanced to look for the
servant affinity value parsed out of the SOAP Message
Header and stored by the SIP SOAP request monitor
program. The SIP SOAP request monitor is part of the CEA
Feature Pack version 1.0.0.1.

If a stored affinity value is found, the value is used to
route the request to the servant identified by the value in
order to maitain the proper SIP session affinity.

APAR PM00498 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.8 of WebSphere Application
Server V7.0.
