APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
Trying to use Update Installer (UPDI) to uninstall Communications Enabled Applications (CEA) maintenance results in a poor warning/blocking message. The selected maintenance package cannot be uninstalled from the target product. The selected maintenance package might be corrupted, or the target product might have some problems. Click Back to select a different maintenance package, or click Cancel to exit the wizard. The message should not exist as CEA is not a supported product to be used with UPDI. Possible elimination of the message would ensure the customer does not uninstall CEA maintenance using UPDI. Steps to reproduce problem: 1. Install Installation Manager 131 GM 2. Install ISMP WebSphere Application Server V7.0.0.5 3. Install CEA FEP using IM + CEA maintenance 4. Use UPDI 7005 to try and uninstall CEA maintenance 5. A poor message is shown (see above) Excerpt from <log> follows: The selected maintenance package cannot be uninstalled from the target product. The selected maintenance package might be corrupted, or the target product might have some problems. Click Back to select a different maintenance package, or click Cancel to exit the wizard.
