Error description

  • A JAX-WS application sends an incorrect HTTP SOAPAction value
to the web service. The web service may reply with a SOAP
    Fault or other error.

Here is an example SOAP Fault returned by a web service when
the incorrect HTTP SOAPAction value is sent.

    [10/29/09 16:23:22:416 COT] 0000008c UserException 3

the the operation has been thrown by the service endpoint. This
    may not indicate an error.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Install a fixpack containing this APAR *
    ****************************************************************
A JAX-WS application sends an invalid HTTP SOAPAction header
to the web service. The web service may respond with a
    SOAPFault or other error.

The JAX-WS runtime may incorrectly send one of the following
    incorrect values:
       urn:anonOutInOp
       urn:anonOutonlyOp
       urn:anonRobustOp

This is more likely to occur if the Action attribute is not
specified in the WSDL binding operation element.

Problem conclusion

  • The three incorrect SOAPAction values (urn:anonOutInOp,
urn:anonOutonlyOp, urn:anonRobustOp) are internal constants and
should never be placed in an outgoing SOAP message. The
JAX-WS runtime is changed to detect this situation and remove
    the invalid values.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
