Error description

It was determined that there is a code defect when
there are multiple attributes in the groupMemberIdMap field in
the advanced LDAP settings. When at least one of the attribute
pairs is not a user attribute, like groupOfNames:member for
this instance from looking at the security.xml file, the
search is performed using all of the configured attributes. In
this case, the display name is not being set when creating the
credential.

Local fix

Workaround:
Remove any non-user attribute pairs from the groupMemberIdMap.
Doing so will allow the display name to be retrieved using the
corresponding userIdMap.

For WebSphere Application Server, the user name returned by
the getUserPrincipal() and getRemoteUser() is not the short
display name as expected. The user name returned is the user's
Distinguished Name when a non user attribute pair is added to
the "Group member ID map" field. For example, if
groupOfNames:member is added to the "Group member ID map",
then the user name in the credential is created with the DN
instead of with the short display name.

Problem conclusion

The security code was modified to use the user display name
when building the credential when both user and group
attribute pairs are specified in the "Group member ID map".

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.33 and 7.0.0.13.  Please refer to the
