    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Virtual Member Manager (VMM) change *
    * polling does not invalidate the *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    If an entity is read by VMM, then that entity's attributes are
    maintained in the attribute cache. So afterwards if any
    operation is performed on the same entity,it will work with
    the entity's attributes value maintained in the attribute
    cache. If the entity's attribute value is changed in the
    backend repository, it won't be reflected in VMM after calling
    change polling as VMM change polling does not invalidate the
    attribute cache. As a result VMM will keep on working with the
    stale data maintained in the attribute cache.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been fixed. Virtual Member Manager change
    polling will now invalidate the attribute cache.
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.11. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
