PM04949: NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION WHEN LOGGING DATA TO THE PARTNERLOG

Error description

If a recoverable unit of work has already been created for a
recovery Id in the partner log; the lookup does not throw the
correct Exception when the partner log has suffered an internal
error that leaves the recovery log in an undefined or
unmanageable state. This results in a null value being returned
and subsequently a NullPointerException in the logData method.

The exception seen is:

The root cause of this problem was that a null was returned
from a call to lookupRecoverableUnit within class
PartnerLogData, which had not been allowed for.

Problem conclusion

Class PartnerLogData will be changed to handle a null from
lookupRecoverableUnit correctly.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.0.2.41, 6.1.0.31 and 7.0.0.11.  Please refer to the
