Error description

When Update Installer (UPDI) V7.0 is installed, only Microsoft
Windows Vista gets the update.exe. All later Windows operating
systems (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server
2008 R2) only get the update.bat.  We need to have the
update.exe on those other three Windows operating systems
since then manual elevation of administrator user account
rights is no longer needed since a UAC prompt will appear
instead.

Update Installer (UPDI) for Microsoft Windows 7, 2008, 2008 R2
should have update.exe which makes manual elevation of
administrator user account rights not needed.

Problem conclusion

UPDI for Microsoft Windows 7, 2008 and 2008 R2 will now use
update.exe as the launcher.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
