APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After migration to v7.0, two attributes are inserted into the
    resources.xml for mail sessions:
    .
    mailTransportPort="0" mailStorePort="0"
    .
    These will cause a javax.mail.MessagingException when the
    mailsession datasource is used.

Local fix

  • Manually remove the two attributes from the resources.xml.

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    During WASPostUpgrade, the default values are being added to
    the mail session for the mailTransportPort and mailStorePort
    attributes.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been corrected to only migrate the
    mailTransportPort and mailStorePort attributes if they were
    specified in the previous release.
