Error description
Running WebSphere Business Integration version 7.0.0.1 with WebSphere Application Server version 7.0.0.7. When the WebSphere Process Server that is the transaction manager is stopped whilst it was trying to call rollback on a Service Integration Bus resource on the WebSphere Application Server that originally failed during prepare; after restart of both the WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Process Server Servers then the resource is no longer called to rollback, thus leaving the Messaging Engine with an indoubt message that needs manual intervention. This indoubt message is classed as 'Committing' on the administrative console panel for the queue point. Committing just means we are adding a message under a transaction and does not indicate the direction of the transaction.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Partner Log Recovery Resource entry * * removed in error during server shut * * down * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the transaction manager was stopped while it was trying to call rollback on a resource that had originally failed during prepare, it incorrectly deleted the partner log information representing that resource. After the subsequent restart of the application server the resource was no longer called to rollback, thus leaving the resource with an indoubt transaction that needed manual intervention to be completed.
Problem conclusion
The Transaction Service will be changed so that resources that are still being rolledback will not be deleted from the partner log. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.13.
