PM13128: THE WSADMIN CREATESIBMQLINK COMMAND HAS THE WRONG DEFAULT VALUE OF THE 'ADOPTABLE' PROPERTY

Error description

Using the createSIBMQLink command in a wsadmin script, if the
'adoptable' property is not specified the wrong default value
is used.  The default should be 'true', but the WebSphere MQ
link created by the command has an 'adoptable' value of 'false'.

Local fix

Explicitly set the value you wish for the 'adoptable' property
when calling createSIBMQLink.

The createSIBMQLink command uses a default value of 'false'
for the 'adoptable' property.  The default value should be
'true', as described in the documentation, and as is the
default when a WebSphere MQ link is created via the
administrative console.

In WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1 there is a
related problem with the modifySIBMQLink command.
The problem is that when using the modifySIBMQLink command, if
the 'adoptable' property is not specified, a default value of
'false' is used.  Therefore, if the WebSphere MQ Link already
has an 'adoptable' property value of 'true', after using the
modifySIBMQLink command without specifying a value for
'adoptable', the 'adoptable' property value will become 'false'.

Problem conclusion

The fix for this APAR corrects the createSIBMQLink command, so
that the correct default of 'true' is used for the adoptable
parameter.

The fix for this APAR also corrects the modifySIBMQLink
command in WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1 so that it
leaves the value of adoptable unchanged when no value is
specified on the command.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.33 and 7.0.0.13.  Please refer to the
