Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
    *                  Server on Linux operating systems that use  *
    *                  the ineractive wasservice.sh command to     *
    *                  manage System V init entries.               *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The wasservice.sh command fails         *
    *                      when an existing Linux service name     *
    *                      is provided.                            *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:  Avoid using the implicit "update" feature   *
    *                  of wasservice.sh which occurs when an       *
    *                  existing service name is provided, until    *
    *                  this fix is available in cumulative         *
    *                  maintenance.                                *
    ****************************************************************
    Failures to re-substitute some strings in the existing service
    entry causes a wasservice.sh failure.  The only feedback
    provided is "java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException" with no
    stack trace.
