Error description

After upgrading to WAS 7.0.0.09, customer may experience session
problems because the request is being routed to a different
servant region.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When routing http session requests on   *
*                      a z/OS platform environment with        *
*                      multiple servant regions, sessions      *
*                      may be routed to a different servant    *
*                      unnecessarily.                          *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

Http session requests on z/OS systems with multiple servant
regions may lose session affinity. If persistence is not
enabled then the session will be lost. If persistence is
enabled a loss of performance can occur.

Problem conclusion

Code has been reworked to create a session affinity key which
the controller recognizes.

APAR PM16393 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.12 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
