Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Multiple plugin-cfg.xml file get * * populated to the remote IBM HTTP * * Server. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a cluster of proxy and on-demand router (ODR) servers are configured in a cell, each proxy or ODR server could generate a plugin-cfg.xml and they could be pushed to the remote IBM HTTP Server or plugin servers by custom script. This might cause plugin configuration corruption.
Problem conclusion
In the APAR, the following cell scope custom property could be defined to limit the proxy or ODR server to generate the plugin-cfg.xml. From the administrative console, please select "System administration" => "Cell" => "Custom porperties" => "new...": Property Name: ODCPluginCfgGenerationEnabledList_x Proxy Value: cell_name:Node_name:proxy_name Where x is >= 1. The value is the proxy server name, including its cell, node level scope name. If the custom property is defined, only the proxy servers that does match the value will be able to generate the plugin-cfg.xml. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.13.
