Error description

Setting the com.ibm.ws.webservices.contentTransferEncoding
property to binary should prevent the encoding of binary
characters by the web services engine.  The property was
introduced by APAR PK57936.  The fix for PK57936 erroneously
updated the Transfer-Encoding header instead of the
Content-Transfer-Encoding header.  As a result, the HTTP
transport message contains a Transfer-Encoding header with
binary as its value and the Content-Transfer-Encoding
header is not set as expected.

When using the com.ibm.ws.webservices.contentTransferEncodi
ng property for JAX-RPC applications, request messages may be
rejected with a HTTP 501 error.

Problem conclusion

Due to a programming error in PK57936, the Transfer-Encoding
header was updated instead of the Content-Transfer-Encoding
header.  This resulted in an invalid value for the
Transfer-Encoding header, which may result in a HTTP 501 error.

The correct HTTP header is now updated.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.35, 7.0.0.13.  Please refer to the Recommended
