PM18080: AFTER DEPLOY AN EAR, RECEIVED SECJ0409E: INVALID PREFIX PATTERN IN URLPATTERNLIST.

Error description

After deploy an EAR, received "SECJ0409E: An exception occurred
when propagating the security policy information for application
TestServlet to the JACC provider. The exception is
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid prefix pattern in
URLPatternList" message in logs.

This EAR had a single servlet which has 2 Security Constraints
defined in the web.xml.  The urls for the two security
constraints differ by just one character and that is the issue.

Example,
URL 1 is /resources/host/* and URL 2 is /resources/hosts/*. If
another letter is added to the second URL (e.g.
/resources/hostsx/*) the problem goes away.

The code that parses and compares the URLs in the security
constraints contained incorrect logic that resulted in this
error.

Problem conclusion

The error was eliminated by by correcting the index used for a
character comparison.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.13.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
