Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0 users * * of the administrative console in an admin * * agent environment. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: MetadataNotAvailableException is * * thrown when managing multiple server * * profiles in an admin agent environment. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** We stored a static copy of the ManagedObjectMetadataHelper object for performance reasons, but this object must be recreated for each cell. In an admin agent environment, we were setting it to the first profile managed by the console and never refreshing it.
Problem conclusion
To prevent the MetadataNotAvailableException, the ManagedObjectMetadataHelper object is now reinitialized for each request. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.13.
