APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer needs to run the fast purge tool to purge events from
  the Common Event Infrastructure (CEI) events database. In
  order to do that he needs to run eventbucket.jacl, first to
  change the active CEI bucket. Currently, the eventbucket.jacl
  does not run at all.

Local fix

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
  *                  Server V6.1.0 and V7.0 installed in a       *
  *                  cluster environment and that also have      *
  *                  Common Event Infrastructure (CEI)           *
  *                  installed in their environment and want to  *
  *                  fast purge all events.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The eventbucket.jacl tool from CEI      *
  *                      does not work in a cluster environment. *
  ****************************************************************

  Users having CEI installed in a cluster environment and wanting
  to change the active CEI bucket in order to be able to run the
  fast purge tool will see a
  javax.management.InstanceNotFoundException: *:* exception as
  the output from the wsadmin script tool.
  Error looks like:

  file "$WAS_HOME/util/event/eventpurge.jacl"; exception
  information: javax.management.InstanceNotFoundException: *:*)
  

Problem conclusion

• Eventbucket.jacl was enabled to lookup the required MBbean on
  the cluster.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 6.1.0.37 and 7.0.0.17.  Please refer to the
