    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Impossible to set content type from a *
    *                      Servlet/JSP if forwarded to a           *
    *                      serveResource method of a Portlet       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When forwarding a resource request to a JSP or Servlet via a
    PortletRequestDispatcher, the content type cannot be set
    there. This is because internally forward calls are mapped to
    servlet request dispatcher include calls, which do not allow
    http headers to be set within an included Servlet.

Problem conclusion

  • Mapped PortletRequestDispatcher forward calls in
    RESOURCE_PHASE to forward servlet request dispatcher calls.
    Moreover, created a ForwardedResourceRequest Wrapper, that
    delegates calls to path info, servlet path, request URI and
    query string directly to the root servlet request.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.15. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
