    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
Large delays and WKSP0006E exceptions might occur when sending
messages to a destination, when there are multiple messaging
engines in a bus, or an inter-bus link connecting buses.

The cause of the delays and exceptions is excessive use by the
messaging engine of an interface to inspect the configuration
on the node, to determine the name of a messaging engine from
its UUID. This information is being gathered regardless of
whether trace is enabled or not, but only output to trace when
SIBMessageTrace=all trace is enabled. Even when trace is
enabled, the information is noncritical for problem diagnosis.

Each time the interface is used for this unnecessary activity,
a new workspace is created by the configuration service, which
involves significant disk I/O, and throws exceptions when
multiple attempts to create workspaces occur concurrently
    (within the same millisecond).

Problem conclusion

  • The fix for this APAR removes the unnecessary lookups in the
    configuration within MessageItem.eventPostCommitAdd, when a
message is sent from one messaging engine to another (within a
bus, or over an inter-bus link).

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.37 and 7.0.0.15. Please refer to the
