APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
When the application server processes shared libraries for dependent JAR information, it mistakenly treats directories with a ".jar" extension as if it were a JAR file. This can cause a FileNotFoundException that is logged in FFDC and the SystemOut.log. This message is benign, but can cause confusion.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 who use shared libraries * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Shared library directories that end * * with ".jar" are treated as JAR files. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Prior to this fix, if you specify a path to a directory that ends with ".jar", the application server runtime will treat that directory as if it were a JAR file. This would be observed as a ZipException in the log output.
Problem conclusion
This fix checks whether the shared library path is a file or directory before processing it. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.17.
