Error description

  • Viewing the JavaServer Pages (JSP) options for a WebSphere
    Portal Application from the Administrative Console shows the
    wrong information.
    -
    Applications > WebSphere enterprise applications > Portal_App1
    > JSP and JSF options
    These fields are shown:
    - JSP enable class reloading : Unchecked
    - JSP reload interval in seconds: AppDeploymentOption
    The should be
    - JSP enable class reloading : checked
    - JSP reload interval in seconds: 10
    -
    The values are saved in ibm-web-ext.xmi. They show:
    <jspAttributes xmi:id="JSPAttribute_1" name="reloadInterval"
    value="22"/>
    <jspAttributes xmi:id="JSPAttribute_2" name="reloadEnabled"
    value="true"/>
    They should show:
    <jspAttributes xmi:id="JSPAttribute_1" name="reloadEnabled"
    value="true"/>
    <jspAttributes xmi:id="JSPAttribute_2" name="reloadInterval"
    value="22"/>
    -
    The problem is only seen for Websphere Portal applications
    (WCM).

Local fix

  • Change the ibm-web-ext.xmi to have "reloadEnabled" before
    name="reloadInterval"
