Error description
Objects placed in Dynamic Cache by an application may continue t stay in cache even if the application is stopped. This could lead to an application classloader leak if an application is stopped and started multiple times.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 using servlet caching. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An out of memory error can occur when * * an application is repeatedly started * * and stopped. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Servlet caching maintains references to objects defined in the cachespec.xml. When an application is stopped these references are no longer needed. The application classloader is never garbage collected because dynacache still has refernces to the application's objects that were defined in the cachespec.xml.
Problem conclusion
When an application is stopped the dynacache service will remove references to objects defined in the cachespec.xml. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.17.
