Error description
After installing Fix Pack 13 (V7.0.0.13) for WebSphere Application Server V7.0 or Fix Pack 35 (V6.1.0.35) for WebSphere Application Server V6.1, the following error may occur when verifying the Scheduler database tables on an Oracle database if the Oracle OCI (thick) JDBC driver is used: . Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: VerifyTables operation for scheduler * * tables using the Oracle OCI driver * * can result in SQLException: Invalid * * column index * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The Application Server Relational Resource Adapter (RRA) code was using an incorrect internal TaskStore helper class when an Oracle OCI JDBC Driver was configured. This helper class was referring to an invalid column index of the Scheduler TASK table and because of this the VerifyTables operation from the administrative console for the scheduler tables results in java.sql.SQLException: Invalid column index .
Problem conclusion
The RRA code has been corrected such that the right TaskStore helper class is used for the OCI JDBC Driver. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.19 & 6.1.0.39.
