pages.

Session scoped managed beans which also implement
javax.servlet.http.HttpSessionBindingListener will see their
valueUnbound and valueBound methods called multiple times
during a JSF request.  The JSF code attempts to ensure that
updates to a managed bean are persisted in a clustered
environment whether or not setAttribute was called for the
bean.

Problem conclusion

The JSF code was modified to allow users to disable the update
to the session at the end of the JSF request.
To disable this, the following context parameter must be set
to true in the application's web.xml file :
com.ibm.ws.jsf.disableSessionScopeBeanSync

An example entry is:

If a user sets this context parameter to true and needs to
persist JSF managed bean updates even when setAttribute was
not called, the write all contents feature in the Session
Management Tuning can be used. While this feature is
available, it could affect performance and should only be
enabled when updates are not persisted.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.19, 8.0.0.2 and 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the
