Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 on IBM i V7R1 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An HTTP Content-Disposition header * * fails on an IBM i V7R1 system which * * uses double byte CCSID, for example, * * 290 or 5035 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply fix pack 7.0.0.19 * **************************************************************** A HTTP response with Content-Disposition header will fail on an IBM i V7R1 system which is configured for double byte CCSID such as 290 or 5035. The failure is manifested by the client browser's failure to display the dialogue box to save the file. In addition, the following error is written to the WebSphere plugin trace file: "ERROR: ESI: esiResponsePassThru: failed to write headers: rc = 6".
Problem conclusion
The WebSphere plugin will parse the Content-Disposition header properly by using the correct code for the colon ':' separator. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.19.
