Error description
Product Release and Version Information: WebSphere Application Server Base Version 7.0 with Feature Pack for Service Component Architecture (SCA) V1.0.1. Problem Description: The reference to ConfigurationContext in the ListenerMananger being set in the WASAxis2Servlet.java is leading to SCAClassLoaders being retained in memory.
Local fix
Local Fix/Work Around: None
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 with the Feature Pack for * * Service Component Architecture (SCA). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ConfigurationContext in the * * ListenerMananger leads to * * SCAClassLoaders being retained in * * memory. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Install a fix pack containing this APAR. * **************************************************************** WASAxis2Servlet initializes a ListenerManager with references to a defaultConfigurationContext. For applications which contain servlets, this causes a memory leak in the WebSphere Application Server.
Problem conclusion
The defaultConfigurationContext was not being used by the ListenerManger, so the jax-ws runtime has been modified such that the defaultConfigurationContext is no longer set. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.19.
