java.lang.String fails with:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodException:

On z/OS only, a wsadmin script trying to set verboseGC on
Control, Servant, or Adjunct region
using the JVM MBean's setVerbose(verbose, processType)
operation was
seeing an exception.  The invoke_jmx call to set verbose with
types boolean and
java.lang.String fails with:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodException:
com.ibm.ws.management.component.JVMMBean.setVerbose(java.lang.Bo
olean, java.lang.String)

There may also be an FFDC with an exception stack containing:
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Z
 at java.lang.Class.forNameImpl(Native Method)
 at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:163)
 at
javax.management.modelmbean.RequiredModelMBean.resolveMethod(Req
uiredModelMBean.java:1009)

Problem conclusion

The code has been modified to correctly handle setting
verboseGC for JVM MBean.

APAR PM36615 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.41 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1.
and Fix Pack 8.0.0.1 of WebSphere Application Server V8.0.

Sysroute APAR PM46032 will be used to deliver this fix in
WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
