Error description
AsyncTimeoutException class is located in package com.ibm.io.async, which is contained in bundle com.ibm.ws.runtime in the WebSphere Application Server plugins directory, The problem, however, is that this package is not exported by the bundle com.ibm.ws.runtime. It causes the following exception. [3/29/11 14:35:23:842 EDT] 0000008a LocalExceptio E CNTR0020E: EJB threw an unexpected (non-declared) exception during invocation of method "invokeProcessSessionBean" on bean "BeanId(BPEContainer_qnode_server1#bpecontainer.jar#CScopeProvid er,null)". Null While loading the classes during handling fault, AsyncTimeOut class is not found and the problem occurs. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IBM WebSphere Application Server * * V7.0 using BPEL applications with IBM * * WebSphere Process Server. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When an AsyncTimeoutException would * * be expected to be caught, the class * * instead fails to be loaded. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The class com.ibm.io.async.AsyncTimeoutException is thrown by WebSphere Application Server code; however, since that class is not exported by the runtime OSGi bundle, it cannot be loaded by classes outside that bundle that may need to catch it.
Problem conclusion
An export was added to the runtime bundle's manifest for the appropriate package. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.19. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
