Error description

  • On WebSphere Application Servers running in Turkish locale,
Common Event Infrastructure (CEI) fails with specific errors,
a function of the database server type:
    - Derby and DB2 databases
The following exception is thrown when an event is emitted:
    "...com.ibm.events.datastore.DataStoreException: CEIDS0058E
Database table cei_t_properties does not exist for schema CEI.
The default data store is unable to start..."

    - Sybase Adaptive Server and Informix Dynamic Server databases
The following exception is thrown when an event is emitted:
    "...com.ibm.events.datastore.RdbmsNotSupportedException:
CEIDS0001E The specified relational database management system
    is not supported..."
    - Oracle database
The following exception is thrown when an event is emitted:
    "...com.ibm.events.datastore.
    DatabaseSpecificsImplCreationException: CEIDS0035E
The implementation class that supports the configured
relational database system cannot be loaded..."

    - Microsoft SQL Server database
The scripts generated by the command
    configEventServiceSQLServerDB contain the string EVENT_?NDEXES
    instead of EVENT_INDEXES.

This behavior is due to the Turkish specific conversion of the
small letter "i", which has a special capital letter
    correspondent: "I" with dot above.

    ****************************************************************
On WebSphere Application Servers running in Turkish locale, CEI
fails with specific errors, depending on the database server
    type:
    - Derby and DB2 databases
The following exception is thrown when an event is emitted:
    "...com.ibm.events.datastore.DataStoreException: CEIDS0058E
Database table cei_t_properties does not exist for schema CEI.
The default data store is unable to start..."
    - Sybase Adaptive Server and Informix Dynamic Server databases
The following exception is thrown when an event is emitted:
    "...com.ibm.events.datastore.RdbmsNotSupportedException:
CEIDS0001E The specified relational database management system
    is not supported..."
    - Oracle database
The following exception is thrown when an event is emitted:
    "...com.ibm.events.datastore.
    DatabaseSpecificsImplCreationException: CEIDS0035E The
implementation class that supports the configured relational
    database system cannot be loaded..."
    - Microsoft SQL Server database
The scripts generated by the command
    configEventServiceSQLServerDB contain the string EVENT_?NDEXES
    instead of EVENT_INDEXES.
This behavior is due to the Turkish specific conversion of the
small letter "i", which has a special capital letter
    correspondent: "I" with dot above.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem was solved by using English locale when changing
the case for CEI object names.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.19 and 8.0.0.1.
