Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server using the administrative console to * * administer enterprise applications. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: JASPI provider is not saved during * * edit. * * Manage Modules messages incorrect for * * several buttons * * JSF implementation in pulldown is * * confusing. * * All authentication button shows when * * only one realm configured * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The following issues are addressed by this APAR: - The JASPI provider values changed, and the console code didn't change with it. - Manage modules buttons didn't correctly identify when one or multiple selections could be made. - JavaServer Faces (JSF) Pulldown did not always contain default and should. - All authentication should only be displayed when multiple realms are available.
Problem conclusion
The following code changes were made: - Fixed the console to use the correct JASPI values so they could be saved correctly. - Use the correct error message when one/multiple values can be selected. - Always display the value 'default' when configuring JSF implementation. - Count the number of realms available before displaying the All Authentication button. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.0.0.1.
