Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V8.0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR covers multiple issues in * * the runtime or administrative console * * of the RAS and HPEL components. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** This APAR covers multiple issues in the runtime or administrative console of the RAS and HPEL components. 1.HTML entities such as < > and " should not be displayed to the user. These entities appear in an error message that is displayed to the user trying to perform a clipboard copy in administrative console HPEL logviewer without proper user permissions. 2. Negative values are appearing when setting the file size of the runtime tab of the diagnostic trace service. For example, go to the "Logging and tracing > server1 > Diagnostic trace service > Runtime" tab, select File and set the Maximum file size to "3600" and press Ok. Returning to the same screen, the value is displayed as -496 MB. The negative values will also be seen when using the wsadmin tool to set the file size values of the AdminControl. 3. The administrative console Log Viewer in HPEL mode does not correctly size the table when repopulating the view with a result set that contains more entries than the previous result set displayed.
