    supported level.

    The com.ibm.ws.check.os.v80 bundle mistreats operating systems
    with levels lower than the minimum requirement as higher than
    the minimum requirement. As a result, the bundle returns
    successful status instead of failure when the operating system
    level is lower than the minimum requirement.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The logic of operating system level detection is fixed in the
    com.ibm.ws.check.os.v80 bundle so that it returns failure
    status when the operating system level is lower than the
    minimum requirement.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
    page for delivery information:
