  You can not install a V8 interim fix if it is applicable for
  specific platforms only, because the com.ibm.ws.check.os.v80
  bundle does not support the interim fix install scenario and
  throws a NullPointerException.
  

Problem conclusion

• The com.ibm.ws.check.os.v80 bundle is fixed to handle interim
  fix install scenarios.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.0.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
