Problem conclusion
For efficiency, the JAXB Marshaller generates new classes at runtime to assist in the marshalling of JAXB objects. The generated classes were occasionally being loaded into the wrong ClassLoader and that could result in a NoClassDefFoundError when one of the application's classes is accessed from the generated code. The issue was fixed by ensuring that the IBM JAXB Marshaller loads classes that it generates into the correct ClassLoader. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.23 and 8.0.0.1.
