Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the SDO API in IBM WebSphere * * Application Server V8.0 and WebSphere * * Process Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Precision of xs:decimal field is not * * maintained when passed between SCA * * service components * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Precision of xs:decimal field is not maintained when passed between Service Component Architecture (SCA) service components. When the users set the value of xs:decimal field with something like "2.00", it was serialized to XML as "2". So when the value was deserialized by the other SCA component, the precision, "0.00" was missing.
Problem conclusion
Code has been corrected to maintain the precision of an xs:decimal field The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.0.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
