Error description
When users assign data of a sub-type to a base-type using the 'as' attribute in any of xsl:param, xsl:with-param, xsl:variable, xsl:function and xsl:template elements and then try to pass the data to a function expecting data of the sub-type, an error will occur.
Local fix
Users can make sure that the type of data they are using matches the type specified in the 'as' attribute.

Problem conclusion
Code was added to make the type checking less restrictive to allow users more flexibility using the 'as' attribute and choosing between sub-types and base-types. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.0.0.1.
