PM42001: PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS FOR PROGRAMMATIC CONSTRUCTION OF SERVICE DATA OBJECTS

APAR status

  • Closed as new function.

Error description

  • Programmatic construction of Service Data Objects uses the
same internal representation that is used when data objects
are deserialized from an XML stream, which can be inefficient
when accessed directly via SDO APIs.

Programmatic construction of Service Data Objects uses the
same internal representation that is used when data objects
are deserialized from an XML stream, which can be inefficient
when accessed directly via SDO APIs.

Problem conclusion

  • Functional improvements have been made to allow for efficient
programmatic (or "top-down") construction of Service Data
Objects, which also form the basis of Business Objects used by
IBM Business Process Manager 7.5 and WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus 7.5 in Lazy Parsing Mode. Data objects constructed
in this manner, as well as copies made from these data
objects, also benefit from faster navigation and serialization
when compared to data objects that have been deserialized from
    an XML stream.
