PM46111: A J2CA1004E ERROR IS THROWN IN PROCESSES THAT DO NOT SUPPORT BEA N VALIDATION

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • An Error message with the error code J2CA1004E is output to the
    SystemOut.log file when the Bean Validation Service is not
    available in the process. This is misleading in cases where
    the process type does not support bean validation
    like Deployment Manager, Admin Agent and Job Manager.

    The Java 2 Connectivity Container logs the J2CA1004E error
    whenever the Bean Validation Service is not found. This is
    misleading because the Bean Validation Service will
    not be found in certain processes like Deployment Manager,
    Admin Agent and Job Manager and in those processes this error
    should not be logged.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Java 2 Connectivity Container has been changed to output
    this message only if the Bean Validation Service is not found
    in processes that support Bean Validation.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
