Error description
When zpmt.sh is run at the WAS zOS V8 level against a response file created using the WebSphere Customization Toolbox (WCT) on Windows, no errors are generated and no data sets are created.
Local fix
Change the back slashes in the templatePath value in the response file to forward slashes and retry.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server for z/OS V8.0 * * users that use the zpmt.sh command to * * generate the z/OS customization jobs. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The zpmt.sh command will fail if one * * or more backslshes are specified for * * the templatePath value in the * * response file. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the Profile Management Tool for z/OS running within the WebSphere Customization Toolkit running on Windows generates a response file for internal use, the profilePath value contains backslashes. If one of these response files are then used as input to the zpmt.sh command, the zpmt.sh command will fail (whereas the V7.0 zpmt.sh command will tolerate backslahses in the templatePath value.)
Problem conclusion
The zpmt.sh command has been updated to tolerate backslashes in the templatePath value.
