  creating a profile, and not installing the default app and

  A NullPointerException will be logged in the ffdc logs during
  profile creation, if the profile is created without selecting
  the default application and administrative console to be
  installed.  The profile creation completes successfully, and
  no functional problems result from the exception.
  

Problem conclusion

• A code update has been made so that the reported exception no
  longer occurs.
