Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
    *                  Server V6.1 and V7.0                        *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Identity Manager (WIM) API    *
    *                      ISRACFUSER() does not handle internal   *
    *                      server id and raises an                 *
    *                      EntityNotFound exception.               *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    In a RACF configuration, if you log in with a server ID,
    virtual member manager (VMM) treated it as a user entry and
    tried to find it in the  configured repositories. Since it was
    a server ID, no entry was found and VMM raised an
    EntityNotFoundException.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix involved adding a method to distinguish server id and
    user entry, and then take appropriate action.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 6.1.0.43, and 7.0.0.21.  Please refer to the
