  • The manageprofiles -delete/-deleteAll command does not
    completely delete the profile/profiles directory structure in
    the IFS on IBM i.

    A call to the manageprofiles script to delete one or all
    profiles in a Websphere Application Server installation may
    fail to completely delete the profile/profiles IFS directory
    structure on an IBM i systems.
    One known cause is when an application server is stopped,
    the stopServer.log file that is created under the log
    directory of the server's profile is owned by the IBM i
    userProfile that ran the stopServer command. The
    manageprofiles command is run under the IBM i userProfile
    QEJBSVR and that userProfile lacks sufficient authorities to
    delete the stopServer.log files and as a result it and the
    directories that contain it are not deleted.
