Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server Version * * 8.0 users of MyFaces JavaServer Faces * * (JSF). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EL expressions within a Composite * * Component are not resolved for the * * <h:inputStyleSheet/> tag. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** EL such as #{cc.attrs.myattribute} in the "name" attribute of a <h:inputStyleSheet/> tag is not resolved correctly when used within a JSF Composite Component. Since the EL is not resolved, the stylesheet is not included as expected. If the value of the "name" attribute is hard coded then the stylesheet is displayed as expected, for example: <h:outputStylesheet library="skins" name="test.css" target="head" />
Problem conclusion
The following fixes were pulled into WebSphere Application Server from the Apache MyFaces Open Source Community to allow EL expressions within a Composite Component to work in the "name" attribute.: 1) https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-3287 2) https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-3173 The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.0.0.3.
